Transparent images and RagTime 7.5
09/25/2026
RagTime 7.5 supports TIFF and PNG images that contain transparency
(alpha channel). This applies to both the
Mac and Windows versions of RagTime 7.5. In preview, print,
and PDF export, the transparency is preserved and is not
reduced. A short video shows the difference compared to RagTime 7.0:
Transparent images and RagTime »
Transparency is fully preserved in both the PDF export feature built into RagTime 7.5 and when exporting via Adobe Distiller – text beneath images remains text and is not flattened to a bitmap. PDFs can therefore be safely shared for both on-screen viewing and printing.
