DXF Importer

The DXF format (Drawing Exchange Format) is a file format for exchanging data in a CAD environment (CAD: Computer Aided Design). DXF Converter is a RagTime extension which allows importing DXF files as image components.

RagTime DXF Converter brings your final artwork from the CAD system into the RagTime layout environment. This allows you, in combination with the other components (word processing, spreadsheet calculation, images, and graphs), to create professional presentation material and documents. The output is in PDF and vector-based on PostScript printers, or with a selectable resolution on all other devices.

DXF files can be used in different ways in RagTime documents.

• Via “drag & drop” from the desktop or any folder
• By importing into an already existing RagTime document via the DXF file dialog
• By opening the DXF file directly
  

System Requirements

• RagTime 6.0.2. This extension is not supported by RagTime 6.5!
  
  For using data from CAD applications in the cirrent RagTime 6.5 program version we recommend to use the common EPS and PDF exchange formats.
  

DXF Converter can also be used in try-out mode. However, RagTime will then behave like a demo version and you cannot save any documents.
