RagTime 6.5 released

Since mid-April the final version of RagTime 6.5 is delivered worldwide. Final improvements in details like optimized overprinting and support for spot colors make the final version even more usable. RagTime 6.5 is the most stabile, fastest and most user-friendly RagTime ever!

RagTime 6.5 at DIDACTA fair, February 10.-14.

The new RagTime 6.5 offers even more benefits for teachers and students! Friedrich Eul, CEO of RagTime.de Sales GmbH, presents the new version of RagTime 6.5 at the DIDACTA Fair in Hannover (February 10. -14.). Visit the coTec GmbH booth (Hall 15, # F74), our EDU sales partner, to learn all about RagTime 6.5.

drupa 2008 was successful

RagTime.de Sales GmbH and partners presented different solutions focused on "Databased Publishing". In the spiriting environment of drupa innovation parc Taurec GmbH demonstrated RagTime as a reporting engine for their marketing and communication software "taurec_cm". OLAPLINE showed their SAP-Connectivity solution. Local and international customers habe been intrigued by these RagTime enhanced applications.

Tips & Tricks

First steps with RagTime

First time you start RagTime, you'll be asked to have a look at the "First Steps in RagTime" document. This document shows you how to work with frames, spreadsheet and layout. However, if you are a real RagTime pro, you'll note this is a really tricky SlideTime document. Try to hack it!

Creating PDF files for free

RagTime documents can be exported to PDF. By default, Adobe Distiiler is utilized both on Windows and Mac OS X. Distiller is the best choice for the printing industry, but comes with an additional price tag. However, there are cost-free alternatives, if the PDF is to be used on the monitor, in the web, or to be printed on a desktop printer only. Mac OS X has its own built-in PostScript to PDF converter. And for Windows GhostScript distributed with the GNU General Public License can be used. The later is no part of RagTime, but has to be installed separately.
