RagTime 7 celebrates its birthday

RagTime 7 for Mac available since one year, information about macOS Sequoia. Anniversary promotion.

As of Monday, September 23, the final version of RagTime 7 for macOS will be available for one year. The final version for Windows has now been available for over three months. It runs flawlessly and users are satisfied - that's the way it should be. We recommend users who have not yet upgraded to RagTime 7 to purchase the upgrade.

Apple has released a new Mac operating system, macOS 15 (aka “Sequoia”). We have carried out extensive tests with both the beta and the final version and, apart from a few minor issues, RagTime 7 runs smoothly. However, we have the following recommendations:

Recommendation: Please do not install macOS Sequoia yet
It has been found that it is advisable not to install new operating systems on the production computer immediately after they are released, as the Mac unfortunately does not offer a function to undo an update. A new installation can mean over a day's work by an expert. Therefore, our recommendation is to wait a few weeks.

Status: RagTime 7 under macOS Sequoia
Since summer, we have been testing RagTime 7 under macOS Sequoia. According to our tests, RagTime 7 runs flawlessly so far. The document preview (QuickLook) does not yet work with RagTime 7, an upcoming update will fix this.

RagTime is a very comprehensive program, so it makes sense to continue testing it in test environments together with our users. We will spend more time to continue testing.

PS: If you can't wait, you should install Sequoia on a separate disk in advance so that you can get back to the previous macOS quickly.

For Windows users, a cool new feature is coming at the beginning of October via a RagTime 7 update: what it is, however, is not yet revealed. Mac users have already gotten a first taste with RagTime 7. Users can look forward to it.
